A FEW WORDS FROM THE PRESIDENT...

Well, the year is perking up. We have Miranda Munro’s workshop on the 6th of April and the next day our AGM from 2pm on Sunday the 7th. The following Saturday, the 13th Sheila Playford is putting on a fundraiser workshop. The cost will be $60pp with all proceeds going to the club! Just scroll down the page to get all the exciting details.

The committee is very conscientious about keeping your subs to a minimum and, spearheaded by Roger Buchanan, is investigating the possibility of reducing our ever increasing insurance bill, which would force an increase in subs if we agreed to pay the recommended amount. Roger and I have had two meetings with Rothburys, our insurance broker and Roger has been in touch with the Council to see if any relief can be sought from the requirement to sustain full replacement cover on the Club's premises.

We have also had our building revalued by QV Wgtn and it came out at $645,000 + GST and relevant fees.

Roger will be addressing the AGM about this insurance matter so you will have a chance to ask any questions then.

Workshop by Robyn Eastgate-Manning

The last workshop was put on by Robyn Eastgate-Manning on Saturday 24 November 2018.

Everyone loved the class and their fabulous results.

We'll have another of Robyn's workshops soon!

Photos feature Robyn, Rita Quirk, Mary Mitchell and new member Magda Van de Walt.

Sherlie returns to the club!

One of our oldest members has been in the wars. Last year Sherlie Barr had a mysterious turn and just as she was improving she was struck in the eye by a burning match stick, which caused her to end up in hospital for a short time. However she has completely recovered except, sadly, she is no longer allowed to drive, for now anyway. If someone could give her a ride, please let Sherlie know.

Good luck with that, Sherlie!
