WINTER NEWSLETTER 2020
A BIG WELCOME BACK!
A few words from the president to welcome everyone back to the Art Club and hope you all enjoyed lockdown as much as possible? The official club FB page did its best to entertain you with an opportunity to post jokes, take in musical theatre, absorb views from 'lockdown windows' from around the world and a chance to display your own or other peoples masterpieces, undertaken whilst in lockdown. Many thanks to all those who contributed.
NOW THE NEXT BIG THING - the deferred AGM will be on
SUNDAY THE 21st of JUNE at 2pm.
And GOOD NEWS, an afternoon tea will follow!
Please bring a plate, as per usual.
At this stage there will be two changes to the committee; Sue and I are both stepping down as I have done my three years and Sue quite a bit more! I thank Sue for all her loyalty, hard work and support.
If any forward thinking enthusiastic person is interested in joining the committee please fill in a nomination form and get a financial member to second you. We meet once a month and the meetings last between an hour and an hour and a half. Doing something positive for your club, apart from painting, can be very rewarding.
A nomination form follows…
Unfortunately The Malvina Major exhibition will not be possible this year because of Covid-19 and we’ll keep our fingers crossed for Rita Angus.
I’ll probably continue doing this newsletter using our on-line “Mail Chimp” software, which simplifies placing it on the club’s website.
See you at the AGM!
An entry form can be cut out below and popped in the box at the club, or you can download the .doc (WORD) form from the website and fill it out on your computer!
